Valuation: Tendency and Direction
Specialization: Whatever is more efficient.
Activity Level: How active a part of the brain is.
Let’s use ILI for this.
Ni and Ti are the strongest IMs for ILI, so they specialize in these. The ILI “VALUES” or has a propensity towards Ni, hence is Ni King rather than Ti King.
Why this happens? I theorize it is because of genetics, and this is how tendencies are formed. One’s genetics may have a likelihood of choosing one way of processing information over the other. Then of course, the natural baseline for activity level is also determined by genetics.
ILI, since they value Ni, and have an already very active Ti, would diverge into Te as their Queen/Creative.
This is because it works as a counterbalance to Ni, while not contradicting in usage as well as being in similar nature to Ti. You see, the brain not only wants to conserve energy, but it wants to be efficient.
To continue this logic:
ILI don’t value Ne because they value Ni. Though Ne, as similar nature, is still mostly semi-active to give wholeness and foundation to Ni.
ILI value but aren’t typically active in Se as the specialization in Ni detracts from that.
And onward.
